Let's hear an enormous congratulatory 'Hurrah!' for the fine folks of Amazing Spectacles - who after months of creative wrangling, arduous preparation and late-night render sessions – threw an extremely cool party for journos, clients and other big boys (I was there too, in the corner) ahead of their official launch on Monday.
The Prime Focus building was daubed with specially crafted visuals from the boutique animation studio, featuring the awesome Amazing Specs characters: because I don't want you to miss out, you can check the smoking monkey that kept a watchful eye over Dean Street here (and I'm not talking about the bouncer at the Groucho), and you should definitely take a peep at the wall loop featuring the whole gang too.
The party chugged well into the night and from where I was standing, everyone seemed to have a great time up above Soho in our newly renovated Terrace Bar. So, thanks and well done to the Amazing Spectacles team (particularly Hilary Macdonald, Martin Allan and Jules Pye, who were responsible for leading the charge), Prime Focus for the hosting of the event, and the runners who kept us in delicious Peroni and wine until well past our collective bedtimes. You’d be doing yourself a disservice if you don't take a minute to look at the awesome Amazing Spectacles website, and if you were at the party, holler @AmazingSpecs and @Prime_Focus – we can't get enough of chatting to nice people.
